The Project Management Group (PMG) has established a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) to ensure a transparent, fair, and effective process for receiving and addressing grievances related to the implementation of the Rogun Hydropower Project.
The GRM is an integral part of the project management system, aimed at protecting workers’ rights, strengthening social accountability, and minimizing potential risks.
1. General Provisions of the Grievance Redress Mechanism
2. Key Objectives and Tasks of the GRM
3. Grievance Resolution Process
4. Communication Channels for Submitting Grievances
5. Sensitive Grievances (SEA/SH)
6. Monitoring and Reporting
The GRM provides an opportunity for all project workers, Project Affected People (PAPs), including resettled households, and other stakeholders to submit complaints, suggestions, and feedback related to project activities, including labour and working conditions as well as resettlement issues such as land acquisition, compensation, and livelihood restoration.
All submissions should clearly describe the issue and, where possible, include supporting information. The Project Management Group (PMG), in coordination with contractors and relevant local structures, including DFZ/DLEOs for resettlement-related matters, ensures that all grievances are reviewed, addressed, and responded to in a timely and transparent manner.
