ESIA disclosure

Project Management Group for Energy Facilities Construction Under the President of Tajikistan (PMG) has prepared an updated Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the construction and operation of Rogun Hydropower Project on the Vakhsh River. The draft ESIA has been released for public review and comment by the World Bank and by the PMG and is available on this website under the “Rogun HPP” tab and the “Update of the environmental and social instruments of the Rogun HPP Project” tab above.

The final versions of Volumes 1 and 3, as well as the Non-Technical Summary of the updated ESIA in English and Russian, are available for download and review on our website. The updated ESIA consists of three volumes: Volume 1 is the main body of the assessment, Volume 2 includes technical annexes, and Volume 3 is the environmental and social management plan.

The final version of Volume 2 of the updated ESIA will also soon be available on our website once it has been aligned with other parts of the ESIA document. Please follow our announcements.
